On March 23, Jack discussed the pros and cons of Measure B at he Calaveras Senior Center.

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, a visiting Superior Court judge ruled to strike Measure B, the initiative that set out to ban the commercial cannabis industry throughout the county, from the scheduled May 2 all-mail election.

Fifty-three community members braved the rain storm on February 20 to participate in an engaged, practical and dynamic conversation regarding the future of a revitalized Mountain Ranch community.

Jack and his wife, Colleen, celebrated with Mark and Sue Rueger, owners of Renegade Winery in Mokelumne Hill, as they were recognized as the 2016 Entrepreneur
of the Year at the Calaveras Chamber of Commerce event on January 27.
~


On March 2, Jack was sworn into the Board of the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) as representative for the Calaveras Board of Supervisors. The SNC initiates, encourages and supports efforts that improve the environmental, economic and social well-being of the Sierra Nevada Region

Jack attended the Lumberjack Days Fundraiser on January 28 in West Point before dropping in at the Lion's Club fundraiser in Mokelumne Hill.

Jack attended the ceremony to dedicate the Butte Fire Memorial Wall, which is made from surviving articles from the devastating September 2015 fire.

Friends and family gathered to stuff envelopes for the first mailing of the campaign. The letter introduced Jackto the district, summarized his ideas, and invited voters to
contact him to
discuss their concerns.

  On February 4, Jack talked with voters in
West Point at the Veteran's Hall. He shared his vision and listened to their ideas.

Jack met with voters at his campaign
kick-off January 23. He had the opportunity
to talk with residents throughout the district
to hear their concerns, answer questions,
and discuss
priorities for, not only District 2,
but the entire county.

 ~

 On February 21, Jack met with voters in
Rail Road Flat. He continues to listen to the concerns of the voters and many have expressed their support for his campaign.

he continues to meet with voters
throughout the district.

Jack met with voters at the historic Costa Store in Calaveritas on March 5. He's learning that residents care about the County and are looking for leaders who will protect the health, safety and well-being of the community.
